Homeless Outreach

The Lord birthed the Homeless Outreach ministry in June of 2009. It started through the prayers and ministry of John Jacob, Brian Christopherson, and Janette Brooks. Every other Wednesday a team goes to Ballard to minister with bag lunches and supplies such as socks, sleeping bags, and gloves. The homeless are so grateful for the help and many are encouraged to come to Westgate’s New Heart Healing and Recovery Program at Philadelphia Church in Ballard and at Westgate Chapel.  The teams are now expanding to the Edmonds area. In addition, john Jacob delivers sandwiches to a day-home in Shoreline that allows the homeless to cook and clean-up. A priority of each of these outreaches is to pray for the homeless and share the gospel message of hope.
