Westgate School of Ministry partners with Northwest University for the purpose of offering holistic training to its students. Northwest University provides the opportunity to take fully accredited classes and to achieve fully accredited degrees. Westgate School of Ministry provides a ministry context where students can gain invaluable hands on ministry experience and have the opportunity to be mentored by our very experienced ministry team. This partnership provides the ideal learning environment required for students to be formed deeply by what they are learning and to prepare them for Christ-like living.
A word from our Senior Pastor, Alec Rowlands (DMin)
The last chapter of Malachi says that in the last days God will restore the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers. That is an incredible picture for me of the hearts of the generations united in pursuit of God and ministry.
I believe this is God’s heart for Westgate Chapel in this season.
Down through the generations some of the most effective education for young people has historically happened in the context of the local church. It’s in the local church where theory and life collide and where truth is put to the test.
That’s what excites me about the opportunity for Westgate Chapel to partner with Northwest University, with students getting an education while connected to the Westgate Chapel family.
A word from the Westgate School of Ministry Director, Evan Coleman (MDiv)
I am deeply passionate about helping people become the best Christ-followers they can possibly be. There have been so many people in my own life that have helped me to strive towards faithfulness in Christ, and it is our great desire here at Westgate School of Ministry to help others along this journey in this same way. Our hope is that our students experience and encounter God through the work He is doing here at Westgate Chapel, and that they would learn how to faithfully partner with God in His work, both here and wherever God’s leads them in the future.
